How to role play a “possessed” – ish character?

Hey reddit, I’m pretty new at playing tabletop rpgs, and I’m currently playing dnd 4e with some friends from work. I ended up creating a character that has ancient spirits living inside him which he calls upon for power,and I could definitely use some help or some tips on how I can role play him without everyone getting tired of my shtick and saying “we get it, you’re a walking ghost containment tank”. I can call upon two spirits so far, zutwa an ancient guardian of nature and king elydir, who I’m thinking of playing as a scoured king, if that gives you guys any ideas.
