LLuisalalaThis hotel boasts an incredibly convenient location! You can take a direct bus from both Haneda and Narita airports. Even if there isn’t a direct bus to the hotel itself, you can easily take one to Shinjuku Bus Terminal and reach the hotel with just a 5-minute walk – super convenient! Check-in is on the 20th floor, and there’s a 7-Eleven on the ground floor. It’s also not far from Yoyogi Station and Shinjuku JR Station, with plenty of shopping malls nearby. Although our king room was only 26 square meters, there was still plenty of space to open two suitcases. The lighting controls and bathroom facilities were all excellent. However, showering in the bathtub felt a bit slippery. So, a mixed bag!
TTal ShThe hotel is very very close to the South exits of Shinjuku Station, there is train from/to the Narita airport – Narita Express (NEX). We used the laundry room, you just need a 100 yen coins (from the reception) – 600 yen for wash+dry of 3Kg + up to 300 for extra drier time. You enter a code to lock the machine for your use only. We took the breakfast of the hotel and it includes every thing. We also use the hotel service to keep our extra luggage for a week (when we went to south of Japan). Make the hotel reservation by Trip.com.
ZZhongguangguangHonestly, aside from the price, this hotel has no flaws. It has its own natural hot spring, free to use after 3 PM as long as you follow the communal bathing rules. After a thorough rinse, you can enjoy a relaxing soak. From 5 PM onwards, there’s even complimentary alcohol served on the first floor. Every day, you can choose free pajamas and pillows, with various softness and firmness options available. There’s an ice machine on each floor, where you can also get iced water. Fresh and clean bath towels and other linens are provided daily. The service is incredibly attentive and meticulous. Every time you leave, someone at the front desk wishes you a safe journey. When checking out, someone at the door will open it, bow, and wish you a safe trip. Downstairs, there’s a ramen shop open until 4 AM, so even if you miss dinner sometimes, you’re in the central Ginza area, with countless restaurants open until the early hours just a few steps away. The K S Higashi-Ginza Station is right at the doorstep. Across the street is the Higashi-Ginza Line of the Hibiya Line, and just one more street over is the Ginza Station of the Ginza Line, making transportation extremely convenient.
MmtmlCleaning is chargeable at 1.5k yen per clean. Otherwise no cleaning whatsoever – but they do give you new towels and a trash bag daily (hung on your door knob). Breakfast is pretty cute and homely – I liked it when I tried it at a different province, so I rebooked dormy inn. They have a luggage scale at level 2, so very convenient if you have been shopping like crazy. The shopping street around the area is pretty interesting, and I love uneo park. However, some pretty strange stuff during my stay: 1. They insisted on entering my room for an ”inspection” but didn’t specify why. When I called to ask, they said it was a bedframe inspection. As a solo female traveler my preference is not to let random people into my room, especially if they’re not going to clean after these external people enter, but reception said they couldn’t wait until my stay was over a few days later. When I came back to the room, my blanket was shifted and untucked entirely from one side, and my electronics were moved around. 2. A bug appeared on my sink mirror, so I gave feedback to the hotel staff as mini bugs means there’s more bugs, and suggested that they fumigate. They said ”oh… sorry” suddenly all proceeded to look away from me and pretend I didn’t exist, which was super weird treatment, and very rude lol. I didn’t even ask them to change my room, the point is that these bugs are likely to have infestations, and if I came back in another trip to this hotel, I would not like to see more. They didn’t even bother asking me what floor I was on, so 100% they don’t seem to have any intention of dealing with this. Very weird and poor behaviour – I think it was too much to expect Onyado Nono service in Dormy Inn, so I don’t think I will come back.

I arrived at the hotel earlier than the check-in time, and my English is not very good. However, MIYU could already understand what I wanted to say before I finished my sentence. This shows that she truly understands the needs of customers and is very empathetic. She is also very familiar with all aspects of the hotel’s operations and answered my questions patiently. Her attitude and work performance are truly commendable, and she made me feel very welcomed. GGuest UserNice experience!Overall I recommend it for solo travellers. The location is central and it is close to metro stations. Also, the bedsheets are changed everyday, you get clean pyjama and towels everyday. One thing that was annoying is the size of the lockes, it is very small and little bit inconvenient with the card sistem. Also keep in mind that you have to be out of the hotel during the certain hours due to cleaning.
GGuest UserAll procedures are streamlined, making checking in and out run quickly and smoothly. We got the type of room we asked for without a problem. There is also an excellent locker system for storing luggage. Very good location for several attractions we were interested in, as well as close to international cruise terminal. Several restaurants nearby. Highly recommended!
WWeiHooI have tried a few capsule hotels, this is by far the worst. My capsule was on the fifth floor, but the lockers are located on the fourth floor which is very inconvenient since the shower is on the eighth floor. There is a sitting area outside the capsule room which is an unsightly mess as shown in the pictures. The mattress is hard and uncomfortable. What bothered me the most is the door that supposed to shun off the noise from outside, made a loud noise when it closes. I wonder if they are not aware of it or no one complains to them. Imagine how many people comes in and out the entire night and the cranky noise disturbed my sleep. I hope the management will be made known of this default. I will never come back again.
GGuest UserThe room was perfect for our family since everyone had their own bed. The beds were comfortable, which made resting after long days of sightseeing easy. The only downside was limited space if you’re traveling with large luggage. The hotel’s location is very convenient it’s close to the train station and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. There’s also a grocery store and a FamilyMart right outside the hotel, which was very helpful. The laundry area was another nice bonus for families traveling longer. Overall, a great and convenient stay in Ueno.
